tea party

bo's nanny {the one we live nextdoor to} pretty much rocks our socks! she's in her 80's and you would never ever know it...she is incredible. always doing something nice for someone {family or not}, is very involved with her church family and makes time for outings with friends {yes, she's one of those batty old ladies struttin' around town in a crazy red hat}. every year around valentine's day she has a tea party for all the great grandaughters {the ones that live nearby, anyway}. not too many of my pics turned out too well...the house is pretty dark and i just have this thing...i hate shooting in auto...but sometimes i just need to suck it up and switch the dial to the green box...booo! {sometimes i wish i had gone with the 5d markII back at my birthday...oh well, that's over and done...now i just might need a bounce flash!} anyway, here is nanny with the grandaughters {& hollis...of course he came, too!}
it was a fun afternoon and nanny had the most yummy snacks and punch for the girls. it was fun! can't wait until our next tea party together!

love, love, love
i came stumbled upon this through another blog i love reading...had to post it {especially with the love day coming up} can't wait to spend the weekend playing in the leftover snow with my little ones and telling my man how nice his arse is! {it really is}
winter wonderland
>> Thursday, February 11, 2010
today it snowed...not normal "melts when it hits the ground" texas snow, but real fluffy, puffy, sticky, crunch under your boots snow! seriously, it looked like a winter wonderland! i guess we got around 9 inches total so far....& it's still snowing! yay! {of course i love it, i don't have to go anywhere!} so, ava got to go out and play in it again. it seems that every time it snows she just gets more and more comfortable with it and loves it even more! i loved watching her. she was walking really slowly listening to the crunch under her shoes, she was eating it {and eating it and eating it} she even tried to do a front roll in it! ha! silly girl!
so here's a picture of ava with her snowman...you can barely see it because it's so white out there, but we made one {my hands froze, but we made one!}. nothing fancy, candy hearts for eyes {they weren't added yet}, sticks for arms. simple and quick.
i {heart} kisses {{smooch}}

tonight at dinner:
ava: {toot}..."you tooted" {said to grams}
grams: excuse me? {like, you have that backwards, girlie!}
ava: yes, excuse you.
& then she proceeded to eat a cheeto. ha!

sparkly pearly whites
ava made her second trip to the dentist today and i knew they were going to actually try and clean her teeth...i wasn't too sure how she was going to do...she is the typical two year old and everything is very moment to moment with her.
we go to the most fabulous pediatric dentist and half of their waiting room is full of toys! ava loves it, i think she could play there all day!
then the tricky thing is getting her to go back to the rooms when they call her name {you know, without a scene!}
she made it and got to put on these fabulous tiger glasses to keep the bright light out of her eyes! she thinks she's pretty cool.
