Tried to get some pictures of the kiddos in their halloween costumes tonight. headed out to mimi and poppy's for a visit {& we needed zoe to pose as "toto" in the basket}. had such a nice night. my dad made is fabulous chicken & wild rice soup...it was delicious! i can't get enough of that soup! {especially in this cooler weather} so...here is ava as "dorothy". Hollis as "ducky" {i won this costume from Jonnye Bower...a local photog! yay for fun giveaways!} gonna try and get some better shots of him tomorrow...the light wasn't quite right and ava kept disturbing the little se up i had going on. funny how the child wants nothing to do with the camera until i turn it on her brother....hmmmm! & last, but not least, Zoe girl as "toto"!
i think every girl should have a pair of sparkling ruby slippers!
Ava & Zack

Those pictures are amazing!! Your kids are beautiful! We have a little halloween costume for Graham, but I'm worried it is going to be too big. Oh well--he's wearing it anyway. We do a "trunk or treat" in our church parking lot every year and we're going to take him tomorrow. He'll only be a week old, but since the event will be outside I'm not worried about germs in the air. Fun!
And I'm a plant person so I can't help but notice the beautiful green ornamental sweet potato plants in the background (not sure what the scientific name is). They are growing so well! Is that your house or a park?
thank you molly! i'm sure graham will be adorable in his costume...you'll have to put up some pics! i love trunk or treat and it is nice you won't have to worry about the germs...it's a big worry with a newborn these days for sure!
i took the pictures at my dad's house. i was going to take them in a valley behind his house, but when we pulled in the drive the sweet potato vine looked so pretty i decided just to keep it simple and do it there! i thought it made for a really pretty background. we have gotten so much rain here the past month and a half so all the plants are looking really pretty!
Absolutely beautiful Amanda!! Most people don't do Halloween here in Australia (it's an 'American' thing...) but I bought this cool Jack-o-lantern bucket at the supermarket last night and filled it with chocolate and lollies just in case some kids knock on my door:) If they don't, then I'll just have to eat them:) xxxx
Oh my gosh! Your kids are adorable. I love the red shoes!!! And the puppy pics to die for cute!
I hope you guys are having a fun halloween! I missed these earlier in the week...i've been behind!
So adorable! Now Ava just needs to come to Kansas!
Love you guys!`
Well tell your dad some girl in California is impressed with his plants. :) I'll post Halloween pics today!
